Happy New Year

Today is Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year...the start of the year 5787 in the Jewish calendar. I have limited, if any, faith. Still, I am proud of my heritage and love traditions, one of which is gathering with my family for the evening service which we did last night.
For any and all Jews reading this, I wish you a happy new year. For all of the rest, I send you best wishes as well. It is not especially about Judaism, it is much more about community and democracy and sacrifice. Well worth a bit of your time this weekend. She is a wonderful, thoughtful voice.
